The death sentence
2 Corinthians 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
A true christian is one who has delivered his self-life to death and followed the pattern of Jesus Crhist. Trust is an earned attribute, and thus how much more has Christ earned our trust. Trust not in uncertain things, what this world has to offer, but give yourself over to Him.
