A Blameless Life

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Often I consider what it means to be a Christian. There are so many ideas and interpretations in the world, that one can easily get spoiled into the wrong one. Jesus calls His followers to a blameless life, without rebuke, even though we live in the midst of corruption. This is an important aspect of the Faith.

Most people having a backgound in North America have heard of the story of Daniel and the lions den. Consider:

Daniel 6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

God will use a person that is innocent and blameless as his tool for good. He daily seeks for such a person so that He can bring heaven down to earth in the lives of those around that person.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him…

Therefore may those who associate their lives with Christ Jesus, avail themselves of the power of God instead of only having the form of such power but denying its essence. Let us be delivered from many lions to come.
